Odell Butler, 36, of Memphis, was
indicted for burglary on December
1, of a pickup truck owned by Earl
Mitchell of Shamrock. His case was
tried Monday and he was sentenced
to two years in the penitentiary.
Jerry Keelin, 19, of Pampa, was
indicted on two counts, one of rape
and one of seduction. The offenses
are alleged to have occurred in
Wheeler County.

Two Men Charged
With Opertaing

J. Evert Smith of Shamrock and
John E. Nelson of Alabama were
charged In federal court at Ama-
rillo last Thursday with operating
an unlicensed still in Wheeler
County.
Federal Commissioner J. L. Bag-
well ordered the two men to Potter
County jail In default of $2.500 00
bond each. Smith later posted bond
and was released.
The pair was apprehended on
Sweetwater Creek, three miles
northeast of Wheeler on Wednes-
