In your article "The Black Caucus:
Five Years Later," the Congressional
Record is mentioned. I have a subscrip-
tion to the Congressional Record and
find it to contain a wealth of informa-
tion. Since some EBONY readers may
not be aware of the availability of the
Congressional Record, here follows in-
formation concerning that: "The Con-
gressional Record will be furnished by
mail to subscribers, free of postage, for
$3.75 per month, $45 per year or 25
cents per copy, payable in advance.
Remit check or money order, make pay-
able to the Superintendent of Docu-
ments, directly to the Government
Printing Office, Washington, D. C.
20402.",

I sincerely appreciate the sensitive
and poignant treatment the article gave
to the Caucus concerning its present and
future role in Congress.

It is a real pleasure for me to thank
Alex Poinsett for the excellent article
he wrote on the Congressional Black
Caucus. In my opinion, he has done a
real service for the Caucus in the per-
ceptive, analytical and objective man-
ner in which he wrote.
It has been a pleasure working with
him. This was a difficult task. Anyone
who could handle the assignment of
writing about the 16 of us and do it
in such an artful way, is evidently a
very talented writer.
