Robert Kensing, Area Farm
Management Specialist of the
Texas Agricultural Extension
Service, is a native of Freder-
icksburg, Gillespie County. He
is a graduate of Harper High
School and Texas A&M University
where he majored agricultural
economics and mi no red in business
administration. He was a dis-
tinguished student at A&M.
Before1 joining the Extension
Service he was employed by the
Experiment Station and was self
employed in pecan improvement
work. He operated a livestock
farm from 1947-1957. During his

quarters at San Angelo.

management short course.on Jan-
uary 27, 28 and 29, at the Bandera
County Library, with meeting#
starting at-7:00 p.m. Income tax,
depreciation on equipment, and
farm and ranch records, will be
discussed by Mr. Kensing during
the course.
This will be a most beneficial
bourse and the public is cordially
invited to take advantage of it by
attending every night.

The Alamo City Horseless Car-
riage Club will come to the Hill
Country on May 7 through 10,
1964. This will be their 11th
Texas Tour. Planned for the tour
will be a big ranch party, barbe-
cue lunch at a dude ranch, tour
through the cool Texas Hills of
Bandera, participation plaques for
all ears, driving contests, mountain
climbing contest .wild west show
and rodeo,- style show and ban-
quet, parade and swimming.
Headquarters will be Kerrville,
however Bandera will entertain
the club one day.

probing the cause of a fire that
destroyed the main clubhouse at
Medina Lake’s Tiki Village.
The village, a private country
club, was burned Monday after-
noon. Firemen said the club-
house contained a kitchen, din

Rilla Bradford Rioux, daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam L. Brad-
ford of Bandera and J. D. Steph-
ens, son of Mrs. Lucy Stephens,
of Stephenville, were united in
marriage by Rev. Travis McNair
in the Methodist Church Chapel
at 5:30 p.m., on the 6th of Jan--
uary. *
Only members of the immediate
families were present including
the brides grandparents, Mr- and
Mrs. 1, H. Wickliffe of Browns-
ville, Texas.
' Following the wedding the
bride's grandmother prepared a
lovely meal at the bride’s home
which was enjoyed by the wed-
ding party.

ter visitors from Iowa, who have
a winter home in Bandera Pass

WILLIAMS INFANT BROUGHT
HERE FOR BURIAL
The infant of Mr. and Mrs. Ron-
nie Williams, of HebbronviJle, born
on January 11, 1964, and passed
away the same day, at ^alfurrias,
was brought here for private serv-
ices in the Plummer Funeral Home
on Sunday, January 12, at 4:30.
The little one was laid to rest
in the Bandera Cemetery.
Survivors are the parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Ronnie Williams: grand-
parents, Mr. .and Mis. Ol&n Buck
of Bandera, and Mr. and Mrs.
Milton Williams of Hebbronville.

Duo Crowell of the Dixie Dude
Ranch, has been in Sid Peterson
Memorial Hospital for the past
ten days, and is a little improved
from his Critically ill condition
following surgery. He has been
in intensive care around the clock
during the time of his stay there.
On Thursday he was taken out
of thg oxygen tent for the first
time. Ho had" received a number
i of blood transfusions. His friends
here are deeply concerned about
him and hope he will ;onnl recover.
