Jobs available for 'tourists'
Students interested in going
to Europe this spring or sum-
mer can earn back most or all of
their trip cost by taking a sum-
mer job in Europe. Paying jobs
are available in resorts, hotels,
restaurants, and snack bars in
Switzerland Austria, France,
Germany, and England. A few
weeks on the job earns back the
air fare; a few more weeks work
earns ample money for travel-
ing around Europe—especially
if travel is by bicycle.
Standard wages are paid, but
the big saver is the free room
and board provided with each
job and arranged in advance by
the Student Overseas Services.
SOS fills the jobs on a non-pro-
fit, first come, first served basis
as it has done for the past 16
years.
Interested students may ob-
tain application forms, job list-

Sutton, who is part owner of
the nation’s largest weekly
newspaper, The Amsterdam
News, said the editorial staff of
the Daily Texan “is being
afforded an early education in
the realities of journalism-how
monied interests try to dictate
to a free press."
But he urged the UT Regents
to reverse their decision “in the
interest of decency."
Sutton, who represents dis-
trict 57-E, is running un-
opposed for re-election.

Little remarks, “We can reach
students who are ready to
immediately attend college and
students who plan to enter col-
lege in the future. Outreach can
help people of all age and
educational groups; whether
you are a middle age worker
or just a freshman in high
school, Outreach is for you.”

Josie Medellin turns away from her
art work to take a telephone re-
quest for some audio-visual assis-
tance.
Audio-visual is an everyday
occurrence in American life.
Here at SPC, students have the
added benefit of a department
that is structured specifically as
a co-curricular aid to classroom
disciplines.
Headed by Howard Hudiburg,
the three-year-old Audio-Visual
Department specifically assists
on instructional aid, classroom
television, housing of audio and
visual equipment for instruc-
tional use, and supervision of
student-oriented audio-visual
projects.
Further, the department pro-
vides on-campus training to
work study students in a broad
spectrum of the function, main-
tenance, and use of audio-
visual equipment. This training
has resulted in hiring former
students as full members of the
departmental staff.
The department welcomes
persons, according to Mr.
Hudiburg, who would like to see
its facility at work anytime dur-
ing the hours of 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
daily. (See related pictures.)
Milton Burrell is looking on as
student assistants-Alventcent,

Otto Harrison and Joel Cruz set up
the Audio-Visual Projection Stand
