Prof Gaines of tho High School hav-
ing resigned his position in the school
to accept another position with the

cepted the vacancy and is now in
charge of the classes formerly in-
structed by Prof Gaines Superin-
tendent Wilson broke the record on

Following the announcement of the
results last night a large number of the
enthusiastic supporters of the Mayor
and his associates on tho ticket armed
themselves with a brass band and a
large amount of enthusiasm and pro-
ceeded to the Mayors Magnolia street
home and gave him a toast and a sere
nade J W Ozmont was the spokes-
man and told the Mayor how glad
they all were that they had done it
again Tho Mayor made the proper
acknowledgment and set out refresh-
ments and cigars And after much
congratulations and numerous bou-
quets thrown at tho juvenile band
which was doing tho harmony work
on the occasion tho processon moved
on serenading in turn tho various can-
didates who had pullod victory from the
battlo of ballots The festivities and
