tion on the Kith inst., was unani-
mous for George McCormick for at-
torney general and J. W. Whitfield
for commissioner of the land office.
Eliza Kelly and Patsy Jones, col-
ore-), got into a fight to-day near
Eagle Lake. Eliza was getting the
best of the fight, when Jim Jones,
the husband of Pulsy, interfered and
pulled Eliza off and stamped her
from tho effects of which she died
almost instantly. A family difficul-
ty was the cause, Patsy being the
wife and Eliza tho concubine of
