leet toward FM 731. The original
plan had been to improve the
r oad all the way to 731; then that
was changed to stop the work at
the city limits when Crowley ex-
pressed a preference for a dif-
ferent route through its city
limits to meet with a proposed
bypass from FM 1187. Meetings
with the developers of the
Meadows Addition last week
then indicated that the company
did not currently have the lunds
in its budget to complete the
project past the first phase of its
development, now under con-
struction.

Councilman John Daniels
made the motion to table the
item because he said the mallei
should first be resolved with
Joshua. "1 don’t want to do any-
thing to jeopardize the good
relationship we’ve been cultivat-
ing with Joshua the jiast two
years," ho said.
Johnson and Cliff Lope/ both
noted that the plat could be ap-
proved in its preliminary lorm
and the matter resolved for the
final approval. Johnson said that
a two week delay on a large proj-
