CHAMPION FISHERMEN — Gurley Chase
(right)-and Warren Lassen, Edna sportsmen, won
the top prizes in The Edna Herald’s “Big Fish
Contest" for 1963. The trophies have just been
received from the engravers. Chase (holding the
larger trophy) won two divisions, the trout and
flounder,, while Lassen captured the redfish
division. The^ trout weighed five pounds and
‘hree ounces/the flounder seven pounds and two
ounces and redfish 22 pounds. Entries must
be shown at The Edna Herald office to be eli-
gible for the contest. (If caught after hours, we
suggest you put the fish on ice until the next
day„ Also if the entire fish is not shown, only the
carcass weight will be counted.)
