Car backs over girl, as
parents watch in horor
said a woman, who was driving a
1995 Mercury Mystique, was back-
ing out of the drive way when she ran
over the girl as the parents watched
in horror. The woman stopped her
car when she heard another person
scream. The toddler was air lifted to
University Hospital, but attempts to
revive her failed.
Funeral services were held
Wednesday.
A 19 month old toddler was killed
Saturday when she was run over by
a car as San Antonians were basking
in the sun of Fiesta. Many citizens
felt the pain of the family, once it
was reported that little Ashely

wounds. The little girl was in the
driveway in the 100 block of Antrim
when the accident occurred. Police

Final rites held for Leonard Benson
Funeral services were held

Benson at Shiloh Baptist Church
with Rev. Andrew Wilson officiat-
ing. .
On September 23, 1955, Leonard
Wayne Benson was bom to Mr. Edgar
Benson, Sr. and Mrs. Loma Demps
in San Antonio, Texas.
Leonard was called home on April
22,1998
Leonard attended public schools in
San Antonio and graduated from
George W. Brackenridge High
School. He attended courses at Si.
W. B. Hardy and Mrs. Henrietta Griffin at the unveiling of the

Beasley, Olivia Benson Robinson
and Cloteen Benson Carter, who
preceded him in death; mother and
father in law, Mr. and Mis. Jim D.
Gipson; Benson; two uncles, S. T.
Benson and Thaddeus Jones and a
host of relatives and friends.
