Store Burned at Karnack
About 2 oclock last Sunday
morning the store of C C Baker
at Karkack burned and the flames
had gained such headway when
discovered that the clerk who oc-
cupied a room at the back of the
store nearly lost his life in
the flames It is not known how
the firo originated Mr Baker
was in Marion county when the firo
occurred He waB also postmaster
and store and postoffico was a total
loss A largo stock waB carried
valued at 82600 while insurence
was carried for 81600
