On February 4 it made a test run to Wichita Falls over FW&D rails (right) with an SD7, four boxcars and a caboose. After de-bugging at Wichita Falls, it returned on a train that approximated the weight of the Freedom Train ahead of two MOP Bicentennial diesels to run from Austin to Houston. It is shown (left) between Navasota and Plantersville on February 18, 1976." Written below the clipping is "Railfan Magazine Summer 1976 Vol 1 #7."
