Three of the people are children, two of which are sitting on tricycles, and the other is held by one of three men. The columns of the porch overhang are covered in ivy, obscuring the front of the house. The house is raised slightly, and has a short flight of steps leading up to the porch. Handwritten notes on the back of the photo indicate the photo was taken before the house underwent remodeling, and identify the people in the photo, from left to right as: Ralph Butler, Sarah Jane Butler, Thomas Butler, Louis Vickrey, "Polie" Vickrey, Ruby May Vickrey, and Sophie Vickrey.
