through this dusky
“sheer” lighted with
twinkling dots. Ripples
cascade over your shoul-

very wear-worthy . . .

“Dueces Wild,” was the three-act
comedy drama presented Thursday
evening at. the Leroy Theatre by the

and second act and Miss Maurine
Greeson gave a pianologue with Miss
Helen Northington as accompanist.
The Choral club also rendered another
number between the second and third
acts.

KIDNAPED GIRL’S FATHER
MAKES NEW PLEA FOR RETURN
TUCSON, Ariz., May 10.—Fernan-
do Robles, father of little June Robles,
who is being held for $15,000 ransom,
told her kidnapers in a second for-
mal appeal to them issued Thursday
afternoon, that he has been unable
to raise more than $10,000 to ransom
his 'child.
The father pleaded with unidenti-
fied abductors of June to send him
new instructions for the making of
a contact, and promised there would
be no double-crossing, no spies, no
officers and no entrapment.
At the same time he issued an ap-
peal to the people and the newspapers
of the United States to allow him to
pursue negotiations without interfer-
ence or publicity regarding his moves,
until he is assured the child is safe.
“To date I have no assurance that
she will be returned safely,” Robles
said.
Fernando asked that the abductors
name as their representative in mak-
ing the contact “some individual who
personally knows my daughter—this
for the reason that I want to be sure
at all times that I am dealing with
the proper parties, and not subject-
ing myself to a hijacking.”
