the Chamber of Commerce.
The ceremonies cannot be held
on top of the hridyc because the
State lliyhway Department plans
to have the bridye open to traffic
before Thursday, and the depart-
ment doesn't want to stop traffic
once it begins.

A million dollar rain over the
weekend has left miles and miles
of smiles in McCulloch Coupty.

urday night and continuing inter-
mittently through Tuesday morn-
ing, dumped a total of 4.88 inches

weekend came Saturday night,
starting shortly before 10 o’clock

The new bridge, under con-
struction since last January, will
he dedicated to Rolo>rt J. Milligan
of Itrownwood in appreciation of
his service to Brady and McCul-
loch County in highway planning
and construction.
Milligan, with the highway de-
partment since 11128, has served
in the Itrownwood office since
11120 and has loum district en-
gineer for the Inst eight year*. He
retired Sept. 18.
Memorial plague* for Milligan
will lie installed at each end of
the new bridge. The plaques were
furniehed by the City of
Brady, the Chamber of Commerce,
the (kimmissioners Court and other
local friends of Milligan.
