Bible Series Set for July
Two departmental workshops
will be held consecutively In tho
annual niblo school training pro-
gram July 21-25 this year accord-
ing to Dr. Rex Kyker Director of
Summer School and In charge of
the workshops.
The first workshop boglnnlng
noon July 21 through noon July 23
will be ontltled "Workshop on ni-
blo School Supervision." Tho sec-
ond will be from noon July 23 to
noon July 25 and will be u "Work-
shop for Hlble School Teachers."
Exhibits on Display
Some 80 oxhlbts are oxpected
to bo displayed In tho alr-condt-tloned
classrooms of the College
Church of Christ in connection
with the teaching programs.

Tho American Studies Pro-
gram will begin its second year
ut Abilene Christian College on
June .1 1958.
The program was started at
ACC In the summer of 1957. The
program has heen expanded for
; this year due to grants from tho
Coo Foundation and from tho
Texas Educational Association of
Fort Worth.
Thcso grants of $12500 from
each foundation enable tho Col-
lege to open the 195S Amorican
Studies Program to 100 teachers;
CO teachers each semester will
receive scholarships which will
pay all expenses for one six-weeks
term.
Concentrated study In the
American heritage will be done
"Planning tho Year's Educational
Program."
Other speakers and their sub-
jects are Harrison Mathews on
"Curriculum Alms and Develop-
ment" Henry Speck with "Mater-
ial Soloctlon and Preparation"
Milton Stolz teaching "Teacher
Recruitment and Training."
Lewis on Prooram
Leonard Mullens will be lectur-
ing on "Audio-Visual Materials for
Teaching" and Harvey Prultt on
"Physical Aspects of Teaching."
Departmental meetings will be
conducted on particular problems.
LeMolno Lewis will conduct the
fellowship program and evalua-
tion and suggestion sessions.

American Studies scholars will
attend two lectures each day plus
regular workshops and sessions
with guest lecturers.
At tho end of each six-weeks
semester a banquet will bo held
for tho scholars their guests and
a number of special guests. Dates
for tho 1958 banquets aro Tues-
day July 8 and Tuesday Au-
gust 19.

Dr. James Culp professor of
