The Aransas Pass High
School tennis team lied for first
place m the Tuloso-Midw ay
tennis tournament held this past
weekend The team tied with 4A
Moody High School Both
schools received first place
trophies
Freddy Flores and Willie
Soliz, in Division A for juniors
and seniors won first place in
the boys doubles Kathy Flores
won the first place m the girls
singles
Helping the team to accu-
mulate the :I3 points with which
it tied Moody were Sally
Trowbridge and Sherry Blunt
Each individual winner was
presented a trophy
In Division B for sophomores
and freshmen, Tommy And
rows and David Stone won first
place in the hoys doubles
Kenneth Peters reached the
quarter finals
Third place in the tournament
went to Tuloso Midway with 29
points and fourth place went to
Bobstown with 22 points
Tennis coach Roger Hill said
he is very proud of the team
Hill said the team will today be
competing in the district
tournament being held in
