Description: Photocopy of a handwritten account by Mary Mowinckle of the July 4, 1981 Boat Parade on Lake Austin for the Neighborhood Section of the Austin American-Statesman Newspaper. She recounts going to the parade with her father, his friend, and her mother.

Included in the letter is also a short biography of Mowinckle's life, detailing her birth as well as her time in school.

[Oral History Interview with Mary Ellen Mowinckle Johnson, April 28, 1975]

Description: Photocopy of a handwritten letter from Mary Johnson to Dorothy Depwe, included is also a survey that was filled out by Mary Johnson asking her about what life was like at the Eanes School as well as her role as a teacher at the time. The letter from Johnson talks about a picture that was found by Johnson that she feels Depwe could be interested in as well a robbery that occurred in which Johnson's watch and fountain pen fillers were stolen.
