THE WHITE STORE R. A. RISSER & CO. BALLINGER, TEXAS.
Married at Ballinger.
The many friends of Miss
Pigeon Miles, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Jonathan Miles, and
Earl D. Cain, son of Mrs. W. W.
Cain, will be suprised to learn
that this prominent young couple
were married at Ballinger on
Friday the 11th inst. by County
Judge Stone of Runnele county
in the presence of Miss Mattie
Clay and James DeMoville of
Ballinger, friends of the bride
and groom.
The first intimation of their
marriage was given out Monday
to a few friends and of course it
was soon known all over the
city. The newly married couple
are among the most popular of
the city and the Standard joins
with their many friends in
wishing that their journey
through life on the sea of mat-
rimony may be one long and
happy existence of unalloyed
bliss.—Daily Standard.Give your photo work to St-

Died.
At Winters, Texas on Aug.
15th, 1905, Mrs. Georgia Spain,
wife ef J. T. Spain was laid to
rest in the Winters Cemetery by
a host of sorrowing relatives and i
friends. Funeral services were
conducted by Revs. Clark and
Moore. She leaves a husband
and two children to mourn her
untimely end, as well as a large
family connection, together with
a host of friends, for to know
her was to love her. None knew
her real worth until she was
gone. Her willing hands were
never too weary to do something
to make those she loved happy
and to make the world better by
her living. She was a life-long
and consistent member of the
M. E. church which she loved
and worked for with all her
heart and soul that characterized
her life as a loving wife, a de-
voted mother, a model Christian,
and a true friend. All should
be thankfal to God that they
were permitted to live in the
sweet sunshine of her life.
A Friend.
