it time you decided on
someone? Who will get Dick

HISTORY CLASS
When I walk out of my room
And go to history class,
I wonder what grades I’ll
make today,
And if i’ll ever pass.
When he calls my name in
class
I answer, "Sirj” back in a
flash,
But when I miss the question
asked,
It almost seems like a hard
task.
One by one, the questions
come.
One by one the answers go;
But when he calls on some-
one else
I say to myself, "I know”.
When history class is over,
I get out of my seat.
I vow to learn the answers,
Ere the teacher again I meet.

THE QUESTION
Teacher stopped her
grading as laughter swept
the class;
But every book was
open - every eye downcast.
Just outside the window
a rose bush dipped from
view;
Branches shook with
laughter, as if it also
knew.
"A rose is a rose is a
rose” she thought;
What does it know that
teacher ought?
