FULTONS LAUGH COLUMN
Did you hear about the boy
who dreamed he ate a
thirty pound marshmallow
and when he woke up his
pillow-was missing?
Teacher (reading): "Then

is a wac, what’s a wac?"

throw at a wabbit, silly!”
Mr. Stingerberry was pass-
ing the drug store when he
saw a boy dash out of the

the boy and asked, "are
you hurt?" "No," replied
the boy, "but I’m certain-
ly mad at whoever moved
my bicycle! /
"Bring me a glass of milk

"You mean a buffered mutt- •

MOM
My Mom is really a pretty
good chum,
She is usually okay!
But, boy, sometimes she
makes me mad,
When I hear her say,
"Your room looks like a
pig-pen!"
And then she says, to my
dismay,
"You can’t leave till you
clean the den!"
But all in all, she’s not
so bad,
But, boy, sometimes she
makes me mad !

TEENAGE NETBALL LEAGUES
This rear applications
will be sent out to the
girls and boys of the
■ Cleburne Schools in May.
The application will con-
tain, questions asking your
age, your parents name, if
you are interested in
playing softball, and
other questions about im-
portant information needed.
The games are played in
the Pony League Park from
June 15 through August 15.
The age limits are from 9
to high school ages.
Gam&s for the minor and
major leagues are played
every night. The girls
and boys seem to have lots
of fun playing and being
the center of attraction.
LIBRARY ACTIVITIES
The library is one of
the busiest and most im-
portant parts of a school.
It. provides'books and
other materials for my ed-
ucation, fitting them in
with all my needs. It
helps me develop an inter-
est in reading, and stim-
ulates my interest in many
subjects. It also teaches
me how to use a library.
The card catalog con-
tains cards for every book
in the library. This
shows me the place where I
can find each book on the
shelves.
Author, title, and sud-
ject cards refer to the
book. Here, I find each
book is listed in at least
three different places in
the catalog. I can-look
for the book under its
author, its title, or its
general subject.
On the shelves, I have
found that books are ar-
ranged in order by groups.
I find each book’s identi-
fying numbers appear on
all cards that refer to it,
as well as on its spine.
Labels on the shelves load
me to the section I want.
